$MEGA is Live

Today $MEGA goes live, the native token powering MegaETH. The launch follows the industry's first KPI-triggered token generation event, where $MEGA launches only when MegaETH earns it.

At mainnet, MegaETH committed to a different kind of launch. $MEGA would go live only after MegaETH crossed one of four designated performance milestones. On April 23rd, 2026, MegaETH hit the first threshold with 10 MegaMafia apps deployed onchain, triggering the TGE one week later on April 30th.

$MEGA sits at the center of the MegaETH economic engine. Applications denominate and grow in USDm, MegaETH's native stablecoin, and the yield the MegaETH Foundation receives from USDm is used to buy back and accumulate $MEGA. As ecosystem adoption grows, buybacks scale with it, executed regularly and consistent with applicable law and regulation.

Proximity Markets, planned as the next layer, make MegaETH's core advantage tradable. Traders need low latency, and MegaETH sells it by taxing proximity to the sequencer instead of extracting value through gas fees or sequencer surcharges. Proximity Seats are reserved server slots near the sequencer, tiered by latency, with top-tier seats auctioned, mid-tier combining auction and $MEGA locking, and entry-level requiring locking only. Sequencer Rotation will extend the model further, letting operators stake $MEGA to run sequencing across regions, with selection based on stake and performance and faults slashed.

Holders can commit $MEGA to Flux and participate when MegaETH hits future KPI milestones. Over half of total supply is reserved for KPI-based distribution, released to committed holders when measurable milestones across reliability, performance, adoption, and decentralization are reached and attested. The longer you commit, the higher your maturity and the greater your share of any rewards distributed.
