megaeth introduces native oracle

Chainlink and MegaETH Collaborate to Make Data Streams A Native, Real-Time Solution to Power Next-Gen DeFi

Chainlink’s industry-standard oracle platform is now bringing ultra-low latency market data to MegaETH — the first real-time blockchain — unlocking the next frontier of onchain finance.

October 2025 — Chainlink and MegaETH today announced the native deployment of Chainlink Data Streams on MegaETH, introducing a first-of-its-kind integration that delivers Chainlink’s highly accurate market data at sub-second latency to the blockchain.

With this announcement, Data Streams is natively integrated directly within MegaETH’s execution environment through a native precompile, giving any smart contract seamless access to live, high-frequency market data onchain. The result is a new foundation for real-time DeFi, where applications supporting perpetuals, prediction markets, and stablecoins can achieve CEX-level responsiveness and precision while retaining full onchain composability.

“Deploying Chainlink Data Streams to MegaETH as the native real-time oracle solution gives builders access to low-latency, efficient market data onchain,” said Lei Yang, Co-Founder and CTO of MegaETH. “The Chainlink data standard is critical to building the next generation of real-time DeFi applications.”

Why It Matters

The integration introduces a net-new oracle model, combining the security of traditional onchain oracles with the immediacy of streaming data.

The initial deployment focuses on high-frequency crypto assets, laying the groundwork for a new standard in onchain price discovery.

When oracle latency falls to milliseconds and data quality meets institutional benchmarks, DeFi reaches parity with centralized trading infrastructure, enabling real-time settlement, precision funding rates, and continuously updating derivatives, all secured by Chainlink and Ethereum.

Why Chainlink

Chainlink is the industry-standard oracle platform bringing the capital markets onchain and powering the majority of decentralized finance. Chainlink has already enabled over $25 trillion in onchain transaction volume, actively secures more than $100 billion across DeFi, and has published over 18 billion verified messages onchain.

Chainlink Data Streams is Chainlink's low-latency oracle solution, purpose-built for applications that require high-frequency market data. Data Streams is underpinned by Chainlink's battle-tested decentralized oracle networks (DONs), where independent nodes aggregate, validate, and sign each data report before delivery. This model ensures data integrity while maintaining real-time updates.

With low-latency, native access to Chainlink's data catalog — spanning crypto, equities, commodities, and more — MegaETH protocols get the infrastructure needed to beat CeFi-level execution.

About Chainlink

Chainlink is the industry-standard oracle platform bringing the capital markets onchain and powering the majority of decentralized finance (DeFi). The Chainlink stack provides the essential data, interoperability, compliance, and privacy standards needed to power advanced blockchain use cases for institutional tokenized assets, lending, payments, stablecoins, and more. Since inventing decentralized oracle networks, Chainlink has enabled tens of trillions in transaction value and now secures the vast majority of DeFi.

Many of the world’s largest financial services institutions have also adopted Chainlink’s standards and infrastructure, including Swift, Euroclear, Mastercard, Fidelity International, UBS, ANZ, and top protocols such as Aave, GMX, Lido, and many others. Chainlink leverages a novel fee model where offchain and onchain revenue from enterprise adoption is converted to LINK tokens and stored in a strategic Chainlink Reserve. Learn more at chain.link.

About MegaETH

MegaETH is the first real-time blockchain, secured by Ethereum and powered by a hyper-optimized execution environment with a heterogeneous architecture. It delivers streaming throughput with 10 millisecond block times and up to 100,000 TPS. Developers scale apps with real-time state streaming, and users get instant transactions all while preserving full Ethereum composability.
