The Fluffle: The Importance of Standing on Business Together

The Fluffle: The Importance of Standing on Business Together

You might have noticed that the whitelist confirmation screen features the following personas: DiamondHands, MegaMind, Architect and Kernel.

Who are they?

Our team has been fascinated by how people interact with the World Computer—through onchain transactions, building applications, and participating in community-led events. We could have bundled everyone into a single whitelist and called it a day. Instead, we dug deeper into the personality traits behind these transactions, aiming to highlight the people who make our industry so great.

DiamondHands: You walk the talk, pushing the industry forward one transaction at a time

From being terminally online to terminally onchain, the power users of the World Computer have rich wallet histories spread across protocols, ecosystems, and market cycles. These users have witnessed the magic of crypto primitives firsthand.

We want to recognize the following apps and strong communities that have made significant contributions to our industry:

Our goal is to spotlight people who not only trade but alsohold through cycles. People who believe in something.

MegaMinds: In it for the technology

Crypto is money built on top of frontier technology. This persona consists of people who contribute in their own ways—whether through open-source repositories, white-hat hacking, or creating tailored educational content in universities, hacker houses, podcasts, or onchain contests. We recognize the following prominent communities:

These communities form the backbone of the World Computer, enabling all of us to diamond-hand together.

Architects: The World Computer is empty without you

MegaETH has always been obsessed with onchain applications. Builders and communities are the unsung heroes who will ultimately determine whether mass adoption happens. Some cohorts of builders who inspire us:

Cheers to the founders and builders who take tremendous risks to bring users onchain.

Kernel: You believed in the World Computer before anyone else

At the core of the World Computer is its Kernel. When MegaETH started, many community members supported us through highs and lows. We want to recognize:

We also want to shout out those who attended our in-person events:

You are the central powerhouse of the World Computer. We applaud your conviction, support, and even your criticism when we needed it most.

We hope these personas reflect the real people who have built something, contributed something, and still believe in crypto's world domination.

What's Next?

Launching this opportunity on Ethereum mainnet has its pros and cons. We've built an extensive whitelist of people we believe would be great members of our community. A FCFS (First Come, First Served) model means everyone has a chance at participating in the NFT collection. Yet a gas war and sniper bots would effectively price out lots of users (this is why we are building megaETH!).

After further consideration, we would like to involve the community in how best to proceed. We have two options:

We will be launching a poll momentarily and would love to hear your thoughts.
